WORKSHOPS & ART EDUCATION

Ricky’s passion for, and ability to share his gifts with others makes him a truly unique artist. He loves working with children of all ages, churches, and ministries. He enjoys speaking at conferences and seminars, inspiring others through his message of perseverance and hope.

Art in the Schools

Ask any student locally about Mr. Ricky and you will be met with squeals of excitement and giant grins. The Fairhope and surrounding Alabama communities are blessed to have Ricky in their backyard. He works with teachers and parents to bring learning based art lessons to schools. The lessons can be tailored to the specific needs of the teacher or Ricky can come up with a lesson plan. Every child will leave with a piece of artwork drawn by Ricky and painted by themselves!

Examples of lessons include Alabama history, coastal marine life, and more! You do not have to be located in South Alabama to take advantage of these exciting workshops, Ricky is also available for travel. Inquire for pricing and more information.

Ricky is a very special human being, so caring and loving.....and generous with his amazing talents. Ricky was always so comfortable in my classroom, recognizing the voice of anyone he had met previously, often from year to year. His approach to art is very freeing and inspiring to children and adults alike. His drawing demonstrations always amaze the viewer...he draws from his memory and by touch. Ricky has touched my life and the lives of my students in unforgettable positive ways, both tangible and intangible. When walking down the hallways with Mr. Ricky, I felt like I was walking with a rock star!!

"I am so honored to be part of the experience that students in Baldwin County Public Schools had for years with Ricky sharing his story, relating his art demonstration to a character education trait and creating a piece of art for students to collaborate with him.  His talks were so motivating that he not only moved the students but the faculty at every school wanted Ricky back because of his positive impact on all students!"
